Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium

2015 - 2016

 

In the Academic Year 2015-2016 seven students will have a programme for English (reading) and ten students will have a programme for Maths.  It is intended that the following strategies will be employed to assist these students:

During the Academic Year 2014 – 2015 the following actions were taken to support students to whom the Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium applied:

Maths

Only one student has not made progress in Maths.  All other students have made at least one sub level or more.

English (Reading)

Four students have not made progress in Reading despite intervention.  The remaining 14 have improved their level.

Six students have achieved level 4 in Maths and English.

Twelve students remain on the Year 8 Catch-up Intervention Programme for either English or Maths.  A few students are being disapplied from MFL (with parental agreement) so that they can complete intensive work.
