The Sele School

16 to 19 Tuition Fund

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is ring fenced funding from the government for schools, colleges and all other 16 to 19 providers to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

The funding is being provided to support small group tuition for 16 to 19 students who had not yet achieved at least Grade 4 in GCSE English, GCSE Maths and other courses where learning has been disrupted.

Last academic year, The Sele School used this funding to pay for additional tuition in retaking GCSE Maths along with additional tuition in A-Level Sociology. The students benefited enormously from this and were able to successfully complete their courses.

This academic year funding will be used to support students retaking GCSE maths and English.
