Are you trying to raise money for services that benefit residents in your area?  If so, East Herts Council can help.   We have £125,000 up for grabs this year to support not-for-profit organisations, sports clubs, charities and voluntary/community organisations in taking forward our priorities in

  • Healthy living, specifically addressing obesity, diabetes prevention and support, mental health and other long-term health conditions, creation of a community hub
  • Income deprivation
  • Infrastructure improvements contributing to health and wellbeing
  • Widening access to cultural opportunities for vulnerable children and young people

The first funding round opens 1st March.  Deadline for applications is 29 April.    To learn more about how you can successfully apply for up to £3,000 to deliver a long-term project (up to £8000 for a building improvement project), register for a Grants Information Workshop on Tuesday, 19th February from 7 to 8 pm in the council offices Pegs Lane, Hertford SG13RE.   Feedback last year was extremely positive

  • “Energizing – gave me ideas to get something going.”
  • “Very useful to be able to share with other attendees and follow up some discussions.”
  • “Overall very good.  Gave me focus on direction of any bids.”
  • “Came with a playground project but also went away with valuable ideas about what works in loneliness/exclusion of older people, which has been raised as an issue in our village.”
  • “A great stimulus for encouraging community projects – lots of ideas which we can use in our initial plan.”
