The Sele School runs a community learning programme known as ‘Selections’.
Details of Selections Courses and of regular activities run by outside clubs and associations at The Sele School are published in our Selections Brochure. For the Weekly Planner, please click on the link below.
Selections Weekly Planner 2020
Please note that due to CV-19 restrictions, some of the activities listed in the Weekly Planner may not be running on Autumn Term 2020. Please contact the activity provider listed to check.
Selections brings together a variety of community partners, from the Hertford area, to offer a range of fun, enjoyable activities for adults, families, children and teenagers.
Through these partnerships, Selections aims to provide lifelong learning opportunities and pathways that meet the needs of Hertford people in order to promote:
- Personal growth and expanded horizons
- A broader range of interests
- A wider social life
- A healthier life
- Community engagement
Selections hosts a range of thriving community groups and activities such as Carter School of Dance, Hertford Rock Choir, Hertford Choral Society, Bengeo Tigers Football Club, Green Arrow Cycling, Box Cleva, St John's Ambulance, Hertford ESKA Karate Club, Hertford Heath Rangers Netball Club, U3A Cookery Classes and Zumba.
Selections Courses
Details of Selections Courses and enrolment forms to download can be found by going to the course page. Courses for enrolment are: Tuesday Yoga, Watercolour Painting, Pottery, Thursday Yoga and Pilates.
If you are new to the Selections programme, please email or telephone Sophie to check that there is space available on the course you would like to attend. Some of our courses fill very quickly - so please check to avoid disappointment.
If you miss the start of a course it is may still be possible to enrol during the term, in which case you would not pay for any weeks you may have missed. Once enrolled, if you are unable to attend on a particular week unfortunately we are not able to refund the fee for the missed class.
New Selections students are welcome to see whether they enjoy the classes by attending on a pay as you go basis, in the first instance. For some courses it is possible to attend on this basis throughout, however, please note that the session fee for pay as you go students may be slightly higher than for students who book the course by the term or half term.
