Governors Business and Pecuniary Interests

The following Business and Pecuniary interests were declared by current Governors:

Julia Bateson - is a Director of Excite-ed Community Interest Company (delivery of internet safety services in schools other than Sele) and works for the Royal Borough of Greenwich in connection with Difference (2011) Limited (delivery of services in schools), of which she is a Director. Julia is a member of the National Education Union and the National Union of Students.

Julia has two children who attend The Sele School. Julia's husband works for Youth Connexions, which works in The Sele School. Another Governor, Catherine Sleath, works with Excite-ed CIC on a part time, freelance basis. 

Peter Beattie - is an employee of MBDA UK Limited (aerospace engineering).

Natasha Browne - is an employee (Head of HR) of Allen & Overy and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. The wife of the Headteacher of The Sele School is also employed by Allen and Overy.   

Lorena Diomidous - is a Director of Byron & Byron Ltd 

Linda Gentry - has a child at The Sele School.

Benjamin Jay - works for Herts County Council as Head of Corporate Finance and is an HCC nominated Director of Herts for Learning. He is a member of CIPFA. Benjamin has two children at The Sele School.

Stephen McEnally - is retired British Coouncil Officer and Charity CEO. He is an Associate member of the Nissan Institute at the University of Oxford, is a Senior Fellow of SOAS University of London, is on the Management Board SISJAC University of East Anglia, holds an Honorary Doctorate from Oxford Brookes University and is an adviser to the Clifton Scientific Trust.  

Paul Pickard - is an employee at The Sele School.

Sian Shrimpton-Davies - Director of REd (Recruitment for Education Ltd) providing teacher recruitment services to schools other than Sele.

Catherine Sleath - Works on a part time, freelance basis for Excite-ed Community Interest Company (delivery of internet safety services in schools other than Sele) of which Julia Bateson is a Director. 

Matthew Smith works for Ocado Retail as a Channel Development Analyst, he is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Robert Wilson - Is a Governor at St Catherine's C of E Primary School, Ware.

The following Business and Pecuniary interests were declared by recently resigned Governors:

Sophie Bruton - is an employee at The Sele School and is a Corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Sophie is a hirer of Sele School facilities for Green Arrow Cycling Club and for Cycling Time Trials, London North District but derives no personal financial gain from the hire of facilities at the school.

Melanie Burke - is the Marketing Director of St. Edmunds College and Prep School
