Please note that all appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and are made in line with the rigorous conditions specified in the DfE and Herts CC Safer Recruitment Guidelines; the safety and welfare of our students is our prime concern.    

The Sele School is a Comprehensive Academy on the edge of Hertford and has been rated Good by Ofsted at our last two inspections. The good behaviour of our students and the pleasant and cooperative environment this engenders has been highly rated by Ofsted and is valued by teachers and students alike.

  Examinations and Data Officer

We are looking for a committed Examinations and Data Officer with an eye for detail who is to be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of both internal and public examinations. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the requirements and regulations placed on schools by both awarding bodies and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and will ensure that the school is compliant with these before, during, and after examination periods. The post holder will also be responsible for generating data that supports the improvement plan allowing transparency for all stakeholders. 

The Sele School is a rapidly growing secondary school and its ethos - Non Ducor Duco: I am not led; I lead - is a lived experience in our community.

Head of Department - Science

At the Sele School, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead a young Science Department as Head of Science. 

We are looking for somebody who has a passion to promote the curriculum, a real desire to influence more students to undertake science in Sixth Form, with the confidence to try new ideas that will capture the love for learning. The right candidate would have excellent interpersonal skills and care for their team and create a climate where everyone feels included. 

We offer our middle leaders opportunities to develop into senior leadership as well as having a professional voice of autonomy in shaping their department.

Teacher of Science

The Sele School has a vacancy for the post of Teacher of Science, the post will be focused on delivering the three disciplines at KS3 and KS4 and supporting the department where needed. There is also scope to teach at A level in your science specialism and develop as a middle leader or take on a leadership role if you are ready.
